Manarah—Manarah
means “Lighthouse”
In New York City Metropolitan Area
June 30, 2007 to July 28, 2007
$1500
for singles; $2800 for couples
Focus: Acquire understanding of Muslim culture
and evangelism
Mornings
• Classes and study
Afternoons
• Visit Muslims in homes and parks
• ESL classes, picnics, literature and videos
Manarah
gives you the opportunity
to learn about Islam and its followers in the morning
and then share Christ with them in their living room in the evening.
Each
summer, committed missionaries, church leaders and sincere Christians
like you immerse themselves in this program, based in the New York City
metropolitan area.
Experienced missionaries
teach about the religion, history and culture of these peoples, as
well as how to effectively communicate the gospel
to them. But the learning doesn’t end with classroom instruction.
Every evening students apply what they are learning. They visit surrounding
neighborhoods to meet Muslims living in the area. Manarah participants
experience Asian hospitality, learn how to build relationships in another
culture, and reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
