WORLD EVANGELISM MINUTE
"electronic epistle"

Greetings!
Before going into Jericho, Joshua encountered a man whose sword was drawn in his hand (Joshua 5:13- 15). Joshua (not knowing it was the Lord) asked him whose side he was on. The reply was something like this, I didn't come to take sides but to take over.

The response was a claim of absolute dominance not lateral positioning. God is not "for" one people or "against" another. He is only "for" His purposes among all the peoples of the earth.

The story is told of a lady who asked President Lincoln during the Civil War, "Do you think God is on your side?" The president wisely answered, "The question is not if God is on my side, but if I am on God's side."

The church that is in step with her Lord will make sure that it finds its identity as it pursues God's passion and God's purpose.

  • Christ as the promised Redeemer

How are We Really Doing?
A Cult Missionary's Confessions
Recently, a devoted member of a "respectable" cult made the following comment concerning their interest in China: "When the doors open for us to come, we will shut down all other missionary activity and move into China. Our missionaries already know the language."

In light of this comment, are we who have the truth really doing all we can be doing in our world?

Distressing Decisions
--

"Our choice seems to be between sending a missionary and installing new carpet in the catacombs."

"Consequently if the Church is to be missionary, she must be spiritual; and if the Church is to be spiritual, she must be missionary" (G. Campbell Morgan).
