Dear Friends,
Thank you for taking a moment to review our newsletter.
We want to ask that you remember in your prayers two of our
students who are halfway through their missions internship.
Michael and Kristen Carter have been in Mongolia since
February of this year. They are being trained by Mickey
Cofer and other missionaries there. Kristen is expecting
their first child this fall.
The purpose of the missionary internship is the application
of the training in theology, practical training, and
missions theory. The Carters' objectives are to learn the
Mongolian culture, language, and the work of the missionary
on the field.
We hope you'll go to their website, read their updates, and
remember them in your prayers.

Missions to Military

October
13-17, 2008
Dr. Tom Lancaster will be teaching a modular missions
course on the topic of Planting and Nurturing
Churches to Military Personnel (and
Internationals).
U.S. Military personnel serving around the world are often
out of reach by an English-speaking church. The nature of
their service commitments and their geographic assignments
combine to present both challenges and opportunities.
Anyone seeking to conduct a ministry in this very needy
and fruitful field will require a measure of special
training to understand and endure these challenges and to
embrace these opportunities. Dr. Lancaster has
established and maintained a thriving ministry among the
military in these circumstances. He will be showing us
the need and the blessings of this type of ministry as
well as the pre-requisites for those who would attempt it.
